Q: Paris, France??
m doing this project in school. we have to write a made up story about us moving to france, but we had to show true facts. but we have to put it togather like a story. by the way, does paris have airports..??? well, anyway, i would like to know how to say some things in french, and alittle more about it, please. (if you tell me how to say things, put the correct spelling, and how to pronounce it, please.) i really need help... like, tell me what animals are there, what most jobs are like, why theres the eifferl tower, and other stuff like what kind of good candy there is (btw i love bon bons :)) do they only speak french and english? what are the religions? what do they listen to? hows the land? (bumpy, smooth, good soil...?) population? please help! oh yea, im moving to Paris in my story. THANKS!
A: The airport's called Charles de Gaulle, people do have jobs but they're always on strike, um, nougat, people tend not to be religious, and in some cases religion is frowned upon (like Muslim schoolgirls aren't allowed to wear headscarves).
Not too many animals in Paris I don't think. Maybe swans on the river.
Edit: oh, yeah, dogs, in restaurants and everywhere (there are plenty of restaurants in Paris where dogs are more welcome than children)
You should visit Jim Morrison's grave in Pere LaChaise cemetery!
Q: How is the weather in Paris France in December?
My family and I will spend about 20 days in Europe in December. We are obligated to go to Belgium and will spend a several days there. We want to spend the rest of our time in two other countries--with mild winters--within a 3 to 4 hour train ride from Belgium. We are thinking about Paris France. How are the winters there? Any suggestions on another country?
A: Paris is a bit cold, but worth it, in the month of December. The Eiffel tower is beautifully lit up every hour for the Christmas season, and the shop windows of Galerie LaFayette are interesting and lovely to see. I was there last Christmas and would love to be there again this year.
Have a wonderful trip wherever you go!
Q: What is the best company to use for Paris France tours for single person?
What is the best company to use for Paris France tours for single person?
A: As almost all tour companies have tours to Paris it is hard to say.
Some tours are single clubs on the move, others will show you Paris as if you where one of a couple.
If you want to use a tour company, walk into your nearest travel agency and talk it over with them.
They will know what the different tour operators offer, and what are the options. And as they are payed out of what the tour operator would otherwise pocket himself, it is not more expensive.
If you just want to go sight seeing, Paris is a perfect place to go by yourself, use a guided tour (each hostel or hotel can help you to get one,) and use the metro to go from place to place later on.

Q: How can an American tourist get a prescription refilled in Paris, France?
I am an American visiting Paris, and due to a miscalculation in packing my medications, I just discovered that I am going to run out of a certain prescription medication one day early. It's a very important medication that can't be skipped. How can an American citizen with an American doctor get a prescription refilled here in France?
A: My father was in France on holiday and lost his medicine (my mother's handbag was stolen) and he took a open prescription and the packaging/instructions of the medicine with them on holiday (not in the handbag fortunately).
With this, he was able to obtain a new refill. However, if you do not have an open prescription, then the pharmacist may well refuse to give you the medicine if it is also prescription-only in France.
However, pop into a local one (the head Pharmacist will more than likely speak a reasonable level of English) and they will be able to confirm what the procedure is without this. Take along the packaging, instructions and any other confirmation you have concerning the medicine.
Good luck

Q: How long will it take me to drive from Stuttgar Germany to Paris France?
I'm planning a trip to Stuttgar Germany to visit sister with my daughter who is 12 years old. I don't know when we will be able to return to Germany so I want to make this special for her. I would like to take her to Paris France, but what would be the best way to get there? what other places does anyone suggest? she is into museums, out door activities, and just have fun. we will be there for 2 weeks in March. I just can't wait.
A: If you want to drive there it will take you between nine and ten hours. I did it myself about 15 years ago and don't think I would do it like that again though. Driving in Paris is absolutely crazy. I would suggest taking the train. They have special tickets for trips like that. The special is called 'Städtepässe in Europa', you would need the 'Paris Visite-Pass'. You get free use of the Métro, Bus and S-Bahn and also discounts for museums, restaurants and shopping. I'm sure your sister can give you some more information on that.
http://www.bahn.de/p/view/preise/international/paesse/angebote_europa.shtml (This is the website where you can buy the 'Paris Visite-Pass', it's in german though.)
http://www.travelforkids.com/Funtodo/France/paris.htm
(Maybe you want to check this out, it's in english.)
Make sure you get yourself a good travel guide about Paris too. Go to your local bookstore and check some of them out. Don't go without one, you'll regret it later.
I could go on and on but I'm sure once you check the travel guides you'll find all the information you need.
Don't forget to take your daughter to Schloß Neuschwanstein while you're already in Germany.
Here is the website: http://www.neuschwanstein.de/ (Click on the english version.)
Have a great trip and enjoy! :-)
Q: What to include in a gift basket to surprise wife with a trip to Paris, France?
i need items that i can include in a gift basket that i can surprise a client's wife with a trip to Paris, France this Christmas, for example the commercial where a woman unwraps a hot dog in a box and automatically thinks Chicago. I need a bunch of items for a gift basket that i can buy. just want some good ideas.
A: If you want to go the kitschy route, fill up the basket with replicas of the Eiffel Tower, Napoleon and Les Invalides. But personally, I'd take a classier approach, and one that's consistent with your 'hot dog/Chicago' approach:
Fill your basket with baguettes, wonderful French cheeses, some pates and rillettes (with accompanying cornichons and moutardes, of course!); and most important, French wine. To add a whimsical touch, perch a black beret on top.
She'll know right away where she's going, and she'll have a lovely lunch to enjoy while she plans her activities in Paris.
Good luck!

Q: What documentations do I have to have to move to Paris France?
I need to know what kind of documentation i need to move to and live in Paris France without losing my US citizenship.
A: Losing American citisenship is not an issue since that can only happen if you renounce it.
You most certainly do not have to be a French citizen to live in France, as one answer claims but you will need a long stay visa and then must obtain a Carte de Sejour from the local prefecture.
Be aware that the French government is no more anxious to have Americans moving there to work than the American government welcomes Mexicans coming to find work.
What documents you will have to provides depends on the basis of your request for a long stay visa.

Hey I'm going to Paris, France soon! And I was wondering what are some fun things to do there? Like real fun things!:)
Can 17 year olds socially drink in Paris? Where are some places to meet young people in Paris?
A: If you want to go shopping, Champ de Elysees is great but very expensive! Try St Paul, they have really great boutiques there with lots of quirky stuff.
If you want to meet other young people the area around Bastille is where most students etc hang out!
There are also really cool markets in a street behind Invalides on saturday mornings.
Also you HAVE to go up to Pigalle because its very entertaining around there.. just don't go on your own.
