Q: Where is a good place to sell a vacation package?
I have an orlando florida vacation package I have to sell. I cannot travel due to health reasons this year and need to sell it quickly. Any ideas where to advertise? Free places please.
Ebay is not an option because I would have to pay 75 dollars to even list it (you have to sign up with someone to verify you for vacation or travel packages)
A: First I would verify that you are not able to cancel the vacation first without any fees or problems like that. Most place in the Orlando area are very good if do need to cancel, most not charging any fees, but it depends on when your vacation was.
If you aren't able to cancel you need to confirm that you are able to transfer the vacation. Most places require the lead guest to remain the same or the reservation needs to be cancelled and redone. If this is the case there may be fees involved.
Finally, you could check with some message boards, specifically Disney related boards where people may be looking to take a vacation to the Orlando area. Also Cragislist is a good idea. Just be very careful because this can be risky for both sides involved. Be sure to have as much proof of the vacation that you can, a lot of people will question whether or not this is real or just a scam. The more proof you can offer the better. On your end you need to be very careful that you get all of your payment before changing anything to the new party so that someone doesn't get your vacation and you get nothing. So be sure to keep good records and use a secure payment method to be on the safe side.
If you had insurance purchased for your vacation, which would probably be your best bet at getting your money back. Make sure that health issue isn't something they would cover. Good insurance companies will refund just about every penny of the trip in most cases. So hopefully you had the purchased.

A: I have used several of their programs, most have rocked, some didnt -- so overall, I say that they are safe to do business with and have good programs.

I purchased a vacation package. I need an earlier flight then the one 1st booked. If I don't use their departing flight will my hotel and returning flight be canceled?
A: on cheap tickets, if you no-show, all your connecting flights (and return!) will be cancelled also. You will probably be better off paying the change fee to fly earlier

A: AppleVacations.com is where I got a good deal to Mexico. They own their own airline, hotels, and transportation, so if you take one of their flights and/or stay in one of their hotels its really cheap. They book other hotels, and you can book your own flight and hotel/airport transfer, but you would'nt believe how cheap it is if you take their flights, use their hotel/airport transfer and stay at one of their all-inclusive hotels.

I saw book a package deal, especially cheaper if you want to actually tour the countryside....there are some wonderful deals for just under $1,000 for 10 days including tours throughout the country, meals and hotels throughout the country. You get to see the sites, taste the foods and stay at more than one hotel/villa! I have friends in San Jose and hope to go down for a visit next spring - stay with them some, but plan to take a package tour also...Have fun!

my husband is bad and i want to leave him but i have no m9oney except for a vacation package worth $700.00. A: Is this a Ramada Plaza Resorts vacation package? If so, your SOL. You will never sell that on Ebay. Try to get RPR to give you your money back, plead your case and don't give up.
From your description it sounds like the Ramada Plaza Resorts vacation. I bought it myself. You have to go to either Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale first, right? You get a 2 night cruise to the Bahamas, right? Once you complete the Orlando/Ft. Lauderdale piece you get vacations in Las Vegas, Mexico and Williamsburg, VA, right? Let me tell you I was so pissed off after the Ft. Lauderdale part that I've never done the rest. The cruise is on a boat built before WWII. It cost me at least $600 to get off the cruise ship because they charge you for something everytime you turn around.

A: You might do better, but don't dismiss using Disney for a package.
Right now, they are offering free nights at hotels, free park admission, and gift cards. I believe it's "buy 4, get 3 free plus $200 GC" or something similar to that. When you stay on property, you can save rental car (Disney has free airport transportation and has excellent on-property transportation).

A: go to the Wyndham Sugar Bay resort website and check it out. I can't remember the exact website, but you can google it and it'll come up. We booked both our flight and hotel on the website. We could have added on special trips and rental cars, too, if we wanted.

we are going to vegas (2 of us) flight and hotel for 225 per person! thats a really really good deal. we did cancun all inclusive this summer for 420 per person!
